Personal Summary

I am a licensed psychologist and skilled therapist with over 10 years of experience providing counseling and therapy services to both adults and children. I now seek to build on my career by joining an organization who believes in my abilities to provide top-notch psychological services to clients. I completed an APA accredited postdoctoral residency working at an inpatient adolescent healthcare setting. Via my postdoctoral residency, internships, and various jobs I have honed my skills in counseling and behavioral therapy by working with a broad range of patients to understand their needs and ensure the best possible treatment, using expert methods and compassionate care to determine the optimal course to protect patient quality of life and foster recovery and rehabilitation. I possess a unique ability to relate to patients and support them in achieving personal growth, no matter their condition. In addition, I excel at working with team members to improve their competencies through training, coaching, and mentorship, resulting in a star-quality staff of psychology professionals dedicated to working together as staunch patient advocates. Highlights of some of my achievements include: • Improved competencies for mental health technicians through training, feedback, and consultation. • Responded to emergency situations via intervention and preparation of Emergency Treatment Orders. • Introduced a trauma-focused cognitive behavioral treatment program for female survivors of sexual abuse. • Continued work with substance abuse patients and individuals struggling with addictions. • Established the UCSD Extension online course for the Aging As Ourselves Cultural Competency Curriculum, supporting education of doctors, healthcare providers, and mental health workers on LGBT aging and health. • Drove launch of new program areas, including individual, group, and family therapy, drug and alcohol therapy, and life-skills development.
