In addition to being self-employed as a Realtor, I was called on by the Team Leader to fill in for our Full-Time Administrative Assistant when needed. This entailed answering phone calls from prospective clients, customers and other agents (outside of the company), as well as keying listings on MLS & FMLS.

As a Realtor, I was responsible for gaining listings from Sellers and assisting Buyers in procuring their home. This required me to use excellent Customer Service skills which include constant phone work, face-to-face interactions, e-mailing and being able to locate properties via the internet and other media outlets. As well as networking with other Realtors in the local area.

I was responsible for obtaining pricing and preparing Requisitions and Purchase Orders for shop supplies, main parts and sub-parts for approval before placing the orders with vendors. I also assisted the Production Control Supervisor by contacting vendors for price quotes. I maintained records and files for the Purchasing Department; prepared and calculated inbound invoices for approval and forwarded them to Accounting for payment.
I also assisted Accounting by tracking price discrepancies between Invoices and Purchase Orders by contacting vendors to verify pricing. I was accountable for generating a Monthly Expenditure Report which is forwarded to the Production Manager and Production Control Supervisor.

I left this position because the company shut down and moved manufacturing operations to California.

My job entailed estimating, negotiating prices with customers and raw material providers to make a profit. I also expidited shipments to satisfy clients needs. As well as keying customer orders when the Sales Support Clerk was out.

I left this job because the company was purchased and the plant was shut down.

My position with Curtis 1000 was spent by negotiating pricing and purchasing materials needed for production. I also negotiated prices for work and goods produced by outside vendors, which required me to issue Purchase Orders to obtain the materials or work needed to fill orders.

I also answered questions regarding pricing, product availability and delivery from both Sales personnel and customers. When necessary, I expedited ship dates for orders placed with outside vendors.

My job also required me to assist in training new employees on evaluating features on business forms and company pricing structures.

I left this position voluntarily to be closer to home. I was driving 50 miles one way.
