Job Posting FAQ
Who’s in Jobster’s advertising network?
Our network includes hundreds of US-based website publishers, consisting primarily of regional, industry-specific and general job boards, as well as other online publishers. Our network goes well beyond the typical free boards that many places distribute to.Top
What are the demographics of Jobster’s advertising network?
Jobster’s advertising network spans all job functions and US regions. We are also specifically developing our applications to focus on professional candidates with college educations, ensuring you access to a high quality pool of talent.Top
What are the names of your publishers?
We don’t disclose this for two reasons. First, we cannot guarantee that job advertisements will appear on any specific site. While we target job advertisements to specific sites, publishers may choose not to display specific job advertisements at their discretion. Second, most of our partner relationships prevent us from sharing their identities to prevent cannibalizing their own job posting business; publishers do not want their relationship with Jobster to jeopardize their ability to sell job postings directly.
However, we are always looking at how we can expand our network to offer you the best coverage possible for your postings.Top
How much does it cost to advertise my job?
Please contact us for pricing details for placing bulk advertisements.
For one off or smaller scale posting options, please refer to our Job Posting GuideTop
How do I send jobs to Jobster?
You can use our website to post jobs directly.
If you are a member of our Bulk Program you can also use the following methods:
- If you already use a Job Distribution Tool (JDT) you can use it to send jobs to us – just let us know and we can work with your vendor to include Jobster as a posting option;
- You can publish an XML/RSS feed that Jobster will pick-up every 24 hours;
Can I remove a job?
If you’ve filled a position or feel that you already have a sufficient volume of applicants you can remove your job at any time.
How you remove a job depends on the method that you use to send jobs to us.Top
How do I receive applicant information from Jobster?
There are several ways to receive candidate information from applications:
- Email (each job can have a unique notification email address)
- XML feed available from the Jobs Dashboard on the Jobster.com website
- Integration with ATS (Jobster makes this available, but some ATS vendors may charge a set up fee or decline to support this functionality altogether)
Please note: Because our fees are based on applicants delivered to you, Jobster needs to collect applicant information. We do not allow job advertisements to direct users to or link to externally hosted application forms.Top
Am I charged for my posting even if I receive unqualified candidates?
Jobster controls candidate quality by targeting your jobs to jobseekers with relevant backgrounds and interests. However, like other job boards, Jobster cannot guarantee this, so you may receive some unqualified candidates to your posting.Top
How am I billed?
Jobster can charge your credit card automatically or send a monthly invoice (for customers with high applicant volume).Top
Is there a contractual term?
No. You can leave the program at any time.Top
How do I get started?
To get started you’ll need to create an account on Jobster.com and a feed of participating jobs published to a directory that we can pick-up via an http request (alternatively, you can post directly through our site). We prefer that the feed format be Jobster XML (XSD), but we can work with most formats including RSS. If you already have an RSS of your active jobs, and you wish include all of these jobs in our PPA model, then you are effectively already set up.
Please contact us about creating a customized implementation that best suits your needs: firstname.lastname@example.org.Top
What countries does Jobster cover?
