I took the premed track in preparation for medical school. I joined a major that would teach me traditional biology, but where I would also learn about sociology, psychology, anthropology, and other social sciences

Bachelor's Degree in Economics. Designed independent study on the Business of Baseball and conducted research with leading sports economist on the Major League Baseball Draft.

I have directed a variety of different shows, including three premiers of student work and a large scale musical. I started and serve as the Artistic Director of a theatre group called STAMP: the Stanford Theatre Activist Mobilization Project. I have also worked on many shows in other capacities including actor, stage manager, lighting designer, master electrician, lightboard operator and general crew, and I have served on the Board of Directors for Ram's Head Theatrical Society, Stanford's oldest and largest theatre organization, since 2005.

Academically, I gained a thorough knowledge of theatre history as well as practical knowledge in different capacities, with an emphasis in directing and lighting design.

I have received a Community Arts Fellowship through the Institute for Diversity in the Arts for the summer of 2007, and will serve as an Institute for Diversity in the Arts Fellow for the 2007-2008 school year.

I was a Resident Assistant in a large (160+) freshman dorm for the 2006-2007 school year, and was Morale Woman for the inaugural year of Stanford Dance Marathon....

Received a PhD in Cultural Anthropology at Stanford University. Funded by the National Science Foundation and Fulbright. Taught college level courses. Research in Brazil.

Developed broad-based knowledge of world literatures. Refined writing skills. Gained teaching experience. Received "distinction" on orals exam.
