Experiences at Verizon

The most challenging aspect of Verizon is the ability to be a well rounded employee. You are sometime put in a position that doesn't best fit your better ability.

At Verizon I handled various clerical duties as well as inbound call fromntechnicians and customers. I would fullfill what was needed as per the needs of the business. I have been on confrence calls,maintained morning reports,overtime hours and kept the maintance on the memorandum boards. Kept inventory, ordered supplies, maintained calenders, managed travel arrangements and set some meetings....

A stong ability to being a team player. your willingness to learn and teach.

Negotiations between Various Contractors, Owners Inspectors, Vendors and Engineers to get ground and internal cabling for City Of Ontario's Arena Project.

Being persistent and also being able to accept compromise. Odds are you may not start out with your target position but at least your foot is in the door

Tangible skills in whatever field you're wishing to get hired for, luck.

I was a contractor through Kelly Services for Verizon. Verizon started hiring and with that I put in my resume and was called to test, passed and hired.

The best advice I would give to a new employee is to mind your manners, be respectful, stay away from gossip and learn how to manage your time when it comes to meeting deadlines; put your best foot forward.

I learned a lot of computer skills, time managment; how to work fast and effectively; sort priority work versus non priority work.
