Completed two Ph.D. level courses: Genetics and Genomics and Eukaryotic Molecular Biology

Utilized sequencing and real-time PCR to detect an SNP implying a truncation mutation in a gene associated with a deviant circadian rhythm phenotype in a particular mouse strain.

How would you describe what you did at Northwestern University?

I was laid-off from employment in the Geoffrey T. Swanson's Lab due to lack of available grant funding. I enjoyed working for this lab as I got the opportunity to broaden my skills in laboratory techniques from work on nucleic acids to include cell biology and protein work.
